Hoiana Aquaman Vietnam 2026: Race Day Guide for 26 July
Hoiana Aquaman Vietnam 2026 brings an open-water swimming and running event to the central Vietnam coast on Sunday, 26 July. The race takes place at Hoiana Resort & Golf in Tay Son Tay Hamlet, Duy Nghia Commune, Da Nang. Event activities and race-kit collection extend across the preceding days, so registered athletes should treat this as a planned race weekend rather than a same-day visit.
The main Aquaman Solo category combines a 2 km sea swim with a 21 km run and is open to athletes aged 18 and above. The same distances are available as an Aquaman Relay for eligible two-person teams. Half Aqua combines a 1 km swim with a 10 km run for participants aged 16 and above, in individual and relay formats. Sprint Aqua covers a 500 m swim and 5 km run for participants aged 10 and above, also with individual and relay options.
Shorter categories broaden the programme. Rush Aqua consists of a 300 m swim and 2 km run, while Flash Aqua combines a 200 m swim with a 2 km run; both list a minimum age of 10. Aqua Kid is designed for children aged 6 to 10 and combines a 200 m swim with a 1 km run. Families should follow the category-specific instructions from the organiser and should not assume that one set of rules applies to every age group or distance.
Registration opened on 28 May and was scheduled to close on 14 July or earlier if the available places were filled. The official event page now indicates that registration is unavailable. Visitors should therefore not travel to the venue expecting walk-in race entry. Anyone with an existing booking who has not received the expected confirmation should contact the organiser through the official event channels before making transport or accommodation decisions.
Registered athletes can collect race kits at Hoiana Resort & Golf from 13:00 to 17:00 on Friday, 24 July, or from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, 25 July. The kit is listed as including a swimming cap, bag, bib and race jersey. Check-in QR codes are due to be sent to registered email addresses before 22 July. Participants should monitor the same email account used for registration, including its spam folder, and keep the QR instructions accessible offline.
The public organiser page confirms 26 July as race day but does not yet present detailed start times in the information reviewed for this guide. Athletes should rely on their official participant message for arrival time, transition access, course instructions and any final changes. Open-water conditions and heat can change, so participants must follow race officials, water-safety teams and medical staff. Do not enter the sea outside the authorised race procedure.
Spectators and other resort visitors should confirm access and transport arrangements with the venue shortly before the weekend. A separate public road-closure schedule was not available in the reviewed notices, so it would be unwise to promise normal access or assume a specific closure. Allow extra time, keep transition and finish areas clear, and never cross an active course. Parents accompanying Aqua Kid entrants should follow the organiser's collection and supervision rules.
The event can be combined with a wider stay around Da Nang and Hoi An, but race commitments should come first. Confirm transfers in advance, protect phones and documents from water, use sun protection and carry drinking water. Recheck the event page, participant email and local weather information on the evening before travel and again on race morning.
