Ielts writing process- Banana chips
The flowchart shows the process by which bananas are turned into banana chips.
Overall, the process consists of 9 steps which are mostly automated
First of all, the bananas are peeled using a special machine before being soaked in water. Next, the clean bananas are put into a chipping machine where they are cut into evenly-sliced chips. After this they are allowed to dry. Once they are dry, the banana chips are fried in hot oil in large deep-fat fryers. The cook banana chips are removed from the fryer using a special sieve which allows all of the oil to drain off. The banana chips are then left to cool in a single layer on a baking sheet. When they have reached the right temperature, spices are added for extra taste. Finally, the banana chips are packaged in individual bags, ready to be distributed around the world and sold.
